Description

Chompy Chomp Chomp Party is a fast-paced, family-friendly multiplayer game where up to eight players can chomp, chase, and compete on a single device or across your favourite platforms. With vibrant levels ranging from disco floors to snowy arenas, chaotic power-ups, and playful competition, it’s a game full of laughter, surprises, and moments that bring friends and families together. Easy to pick up but endlessly entertaining, every match is a new party.

History

We first launched the original Chompy Chomp Chomp in 2012.
Since releasing the first version of Chompy Chomp Chomp Party on Wii U in 2016, James Woodrow (a.k.a. Woody) has been juggling being a Dad and making the new improved version, featuring lots more game modes and levels, a level generator, improved graphics and anything that our friends and kids approved of.

The vision for Chompy Chomp Chomp Party is a game that every member of the family could join in and play, in the same room, together, no matter age or ability. We have always wanted to use games to bring people together. Chompy Chomp Chomp Party is designed to create connection, joy and happy memories for families and friends everywhere.

We now share making the game with our own children, who both love to suggest new game modes and power ups.

Chompy Chomp Chomp Party is a game that could have happened in any era. It would have looked different in 1985, but the hectic gameplay would have fit right-in. In fact, the thing that’s always weirded me out about Chompy is that nobody else thought of this first. It’s so obviously fated to be an electrifying formula, much more than other arcade-like versus games, that it’s weird it didn’t exist until 2012. Seriously, what’s the definitive 80s arcade party game? Warlords? This is in an entirely different league. It’s the best indie party game I’ve played, and I’ve played a lot more than my review index suggests I have.

This chaos is the life and soul of the game however – it can be played alone with 'Compy Chompys' filling in the space of the other players, but having a room full of friends shouting and screaming and lovingly hating each other for the duration of the game is where the most fun comes from. The different modes, along with different stages, difficulty settings and a customisable item selection means that you can mix things up enough to keep things feeling fun.
